What is Your Legacy Going To Be? Make it an Epic One!
Everything you do today will be part of your history someday. Whether you like it or not, legacy is part of your life. You create it every day on every path you take. The question is, what’s your legacy going to be?
Imagine five, ten, a hundred years from now. What does the impact you’ve left look like?
Most of us have an ideal legacy. In our hearts, we have some idea of what we want to create. But finding time to do it is not easy. Many planned to get started, then suddenly, something happened. By the time we wanted to work on it, we got lost with all the information around us and never got started.
Then one day, we’re fascinated watching others fulfilling the desires of our hearts. Dreams included in our bucket list we hoped one day would come to pass.
Have you ever wonder why it’s hard to make it happen? Why couldn’t you find the time?
It’s not rocket science, and you may have heard this many times. If it's easy to accomplish, then everybody will do it. It’s your journey of working towards your dream, not just the destination. Allowing you to go through the process and chase your dreams despite everything that’s happening, even if life throws you a curveball, is what makes it unique. You grow as you go through it.
The uncomfortable reality is, no one will give you time!
Everybody wants a part of you. The sad part is, most of the time, nothing is left for you. So, if you really want it, YOU must make time for it. As Jim Rohn said, “If you really want something, you’ll find a way. If you don’t you’ll find an excuse.”
When you allow yourself to value every single second as an opportunity to create a powerful legacy, you’ll be surprised at what you can accomplish.
I like how Gary challenged us with this quote. “We do not build legacies in a day. We create them across a lifetime, and they outlive us.”
What kind of legacy are you creating? Is it temporary, or are you creating a legacy that will outlive you?
As you look back across your lifetime, what will your life have stood for?
If you want to build a long-lasting legacy, you have to make time for it. Legacy is now. Do not put on hold the things that matter most to you. Each step you take should be one step closer to living life to your full potential.
Tap into your creativity. Take small steps daily. If you do this consistently, you’ll find the path to create your lasting legacy.
